Senator Ted Cruz dropped a disturbing video Friday night about severely overcrowded conditions in migrant detention centers near the US-Mexico border.

Cruz led a delegation of 18 GOP senators to inspect the border crisis and the conditions of migrants.
“We just saw a body floating by on the Rio Grande, someone who died undoubtedly crossing with a human trafficker. This is inhuman what’s going on. Cruz said on a press conference flanked by his fellow lawmakers. “Joe Biden and the Biden government have made decisions that are causing these people to suffer, and it is extremely irresponsible to do so in a pandemic.”
Cruz made headlines earlier that day after tweeting footage of what he said were “smugglers” on the Mexican side of the river.
“They’ve been shining at us with their flashlights, they’re yelling at us,” Cruz said.
In recent weeks, the US-Mexico border has seen a wave of migrants from South and Central America, attracted by promises Biden has made to accept asylum seekers and by the expectation that he will reform immigration rules.
