Talking Point: What are you playing this weekend? (April 10)

It’s the end of another busy week, one that has come true Pac-Man 99, rumors of dock-based upgrades for a potential new Switch, confirming DLC for the really-rather-good Streets of Rage 4, and a Nintendo collector who went to the trouble of building a full-size replica of the company’s first headquarters. And we thought owning Famicom 3D glasses made us fans!

However, now is the time to discuss our gaming plans for the weekend. Members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to read our submissions and then join your own through our comment section. To enjoy!

I haven’t had many chances to play Monster Hunter Rise this week, so I want at least one extended session to clear 4 stars and maybe get into the real flesh of the game. I have also been busted Immortals Fenyx Rising on sale because I love the idea of a colorful, charming adventure to dig into every night; so far it’s kind of silly and fun. I have to sit down and give Narita boy okay too, it seems fantastic, but I fell away from it this week.

Finally I’ll play some The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes for, uh, research. That is certainly one varied party games …

This week I played a lot Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, and a little Cozy Grove. I would have liked to have played more of it Cozy Grove, but it kicks you out of the game after doing all the daily tasks, so it was a tricky one to review!

I also … got this … stopped playing ValheimGASP. We’ve done almost all of the game’s content, so we’ll move on to something else and wait for the next major update. Could be AstroneerIt’s like Valheim, but in SPACE.

Hey. This weekend is all about Monster Hunter Rise and Warframe for me. I’ve spent as much of my free time as I can blasting Rise, it’s definitely my favorite Monster Hunter game in the series to date, and for some horrible reason I’ve decided to play the free Sci -fi-shooter from Digital Extreme would be a good idea while I was already knee-deep in Rhenoplos carcasses. To be fair I didn’t expect Warframe’s Switch port to be as spectacular as it is, I totally expected to pop in and out quickly and then leave it, but unfortunately I find myself hopelessly addicted now to the smooth loops of fast combat and loot collection.

Elsewhere, I’ll try to get stuck too The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV once it goes live, losing my mind trying to win a round of Pac-Man 99 and in the latest installment of Minecraft Dungeons DLC with my kids. A busy weekend! Have fun with everything you do or play for the next few days and stay safe outside of it.

Lots of Wii Incoming Action! Go for the 100% completion route Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces plus i play again Speed racer Batman: The Brave and The Bold Godzilla unleashed and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (remember, the Super Smash clone). I am really looking forward to playing Zangeki No Reginleiv for the first time, the only Japanese import I skipped that day. Not a bad week for Switch either: Pac-Man 99 Astro Aqua Kitty even Star Wars: Republic Commando should make in rotation.

Game of the week is Say no! MoreAdd the ability to ‘No!’ Saying in my native language makes this already ambitious sequel more fun.
