PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police say a deliveryman’s family was found safe after a suspect left in the vehicle with the man’s wife and two young daughters in it. After a police chase through the streets of Philadelphia, the suspect was taken into custody.
Chopper 3 was overhead when the police were able to catch the suspect.

The kidnapping took place on Broad Street and Erie Avenue Friday around 8:40 PM in North Philadelphia.

Police say the City View Pizza driver delivered an order with his 25-year-old wife and his 4-year-old and 2-year-old daughters in the car.
That’s when the police say a suspect jumped into the car and left with the family in it. Police say the vehicle has been found and the wife and children are in order.
However, police say the suspect took off in another vehicle – a 2014 gray Toyota Scion – and was seen heading east on Spring Garden from 21st Street.

The suspect then led police on a chase before he was eventually rounded up near Franklin Square Park.
