Survival game ‘Rust’ will be released on May 21st on PS4 and Xbox One

Finally a multiplayer survival game Rust will be released this spring on PS4 and Xbox One. Double Eleven, which is the game port on PC, will be the console versions of Rust on May 21.

Rust burden you with staying alive in a dangerous open world. You will have to find resources, gather food and build shelters. There can be up to 100 players on the same server and how you interact with (or avoid) them is up to you. The PC version has blown up in recent months after a number of popular Twitch streamers started playing with it. Rust had an average number of Steam players of nearly 118,000 at any time in February.

The Rust console editions will be a different experience from the PC version with a separate roadmap. Double Eleven plans to regularly update the PS4 and Xbox One ports with its own enhancements, along with content from original developer Facepunch. There is cross-play support for the console versions, but you can’t jump on the same server as PC players.

To get Rust According to Double Eleven, it took a lot of work to run properly on consoles. It noted that early PS4 and Xbox One units have CPUs equivalent to a 2013 MacBook Pro, which is far from what you need to run the PC version of Rust

During the first console test, it took a whopping 45 minutes to load the game’s massive map. Fortunately, Double Eleven managed to reduce the loading time to about a minute. Here’s the hope Rust will boot even faster on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.

Pre-orders are now open for the Rust console editions. The standard version costs $ 50 and includes a pre-order bonus pack of weapons and tools. The $ 70 deluxe edition includes early access and closed beta access and some other goodies. Opt for the Ultimate $ 80 Edition and get all the benefits of the other versions, along with 1100 Rust Coins and a special skin pack.
