Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC Character Hopeful Deconfirmed

Another Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Hopeful DLC character has been debunked. Earlier this week, when a long-rumored and in-demand DLC character was seemingly debunked, it surprised Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite users. A few days later, another character has more or less been confirmed, although this probably won’t surprise many, given how new the character is.

Next Spirit of Tsushima, Final Fantasy 7 Remake DOOM Eternal Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and a few other games, Hades was on the 2020 GOTY list, and with good reason. A big part of the game’s appeal are the characters and the story. And in the middle of the latter is Zagreus, the protagonist of the game. That said, while it’s easy enough to envision a future where Zagreus is in a four-way battle for his life against Kirby, Falco and Steve, it doesn’t sound like it will happen in time for Super Smash Brittle. Ultimate

When asked if it would be a game to see Zagreus added, writer and designer Greg Kasavin was unsurprisingly looking for the crossover. That said, he always has doubts about what is happening, at least in the short term.

“On a personal level, I think that would be great,” said Kasavin. “Smash does such a good job of adapting characters so faithfully, sometimes even more faithfully, from the games those characters come from. I’m a huge fan of NEO-GEO fighting games and they brought in Terry Bogard … so yeah I think they would do a great job but it’s one of those things because I’m sure they have a really long list to have ! “

As you can see, Kasavin is not outright confirming that we have it Hades character Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but it implies so much. And as said, this makes sense given that Hades just released last year. Further, while the game was award-winning and popular, the character itself is far from iconic or at the level of others waiting to be added.
