The new logo features distinctive elements of the city of Los Angeles, where the big game returns for the first time since 1993.
The Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission unveiled the official Super Bowl LVI logo on Tuesday, which will be played in next year SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
The logo shows some minor changes from the most recent editions, most notably Super Bowl LI so far.
In the new edition, the Lombardi Trophy is clearly placed behind the Roman numerals, causing confusion as to the edition of the Super Bowl ongoing, past logo Super Bowl LV, some people on social media complained that placing the iconic trophy between the ‘L’ and ‘V’ made it seem like it was the edit LIFE, when it was in effect, it was the edition LV.
Moreover, within the Roman numerals, iconic elements of the California city can be distinguished, from warm colors to palm tree figures.

Since Super Bowl 50, the logo has not had such clear distinguishing elements of the host city.
The Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission also included a promotional video with the artist Snoop Dogg, to start the countdown to the big event. Super Bowl LVI is scheduled for release February 6, 2022.

In addition, the logo of the organizing committee for Super Bowl LVI in the city of Los Angeles was presented.
El SoFi Stadium, where the game is played, is home to Los Angeles Rams Y Los Angeles chargers, one of two properties shared by teams of the NFL, next MetLife Stadium of the New York Giants Y New York Jets. The stadium was used for NFL for the first time in the last regular season.
Originally that was the plan SoFi Stadium received the past Super Bowl LV; but construction delays forced a search for another headquarters, designating Tampa as headquarters.
The Super Bowl returns to Los Angeles for the first time since 1993.
To Super Bowls future, two of the next three will be assigned headquarters. El Super Bowl LVII (to be played early 2023) is played at State Farm Stadium, Glendale, Arizona. The great game was last played in that building in the edition XLIX.
El Super Bowl LVIII It will be played in early 2024. Originally it was assigned to the city New Orleans, but timing conflicts with the Mardi Gras parade forced the NFL to change the headquarters, and there is no official decision yet. The city of Las Vegas has offered the new Allegiant Stadium for the meeting, but has not yet been assigned.
El Super Bowl LIX (to be played in 2025), yes it will continue at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana, postpone a last year’s game. The Super Bowl visited that building for the last time in the edition XLVII.
