Sunset selling star Chrishell Stause and her ex-husband Justin Hartley finalized their divorce more than a year after they announced their split.

The reality personality, 39, and the This Is Us actor, 44, had reportedly finalized their legal divorce earlier this month after finally agreeing on the terms.

According to TMZ, a California judge delivered the verdict on February 8, after the couple revealed in November 2019 that they would go their separate ways after two years of marriage and six years together.

It was reported by E! News that the famous couple, who are now both in new relationships, finally settled the terms of their divorce last month.

While a source told Us Weekly, “ Both parties entered into a confidential settlement on the terms of the divorce, including partner support, ” confirming that the former couple had not signed a prenuptial agreement.

Chrishell and Justin started dating in 2014 after working on Young and the Restless together, before tying the knot at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California in October 2016.

Justin cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for the divorce filing, claiming that he and Chrishell had been divorced since July 8, 2019, despite the couple having been seen together several times after that specific date.

In her response filing, Chrishell listed the ‘date of divorce’ as November 22, 2019, which contradicted the July divorce reported by Justin.

During the explosive third series of Netflix hit Selling Sunset, the Days of Our Lives actress claimed that Justin had notified her of his intention to divorce via text message just 45 minutes before the heartbreaking news was made public.

She told her friend and fellow real estate agent Mary Fitzgerald, ‘I found out because he was texting[ed] me that we were submitted. Forty-five minutes later, the world knew. ‘

Chrishell further stressed that ‘forty-five minutes’ was not enough time to prepare for the deluge of questions they were sure to get from their mutual fans.

‘Because of the crazy way this happened, people want to answer, and I want to answer. I know people say we’ve only been married for two years, but it’s like we’ve been together for six years, ”she explained passionately.

The TV star also called Justin’s divorce filing an “impulsive” decision, and that he often used the same “I’m out” approach in fights they had in the past.

‘In a fight, that is [Justin’s] go-to, you know? ‘ she said. Like, ‘I’m gone, I’m gone. ‘I hate impulsive things like that, but I always thought, you know, that’s just a problem we’re working through. If that’s really what you wanted, there are better ways to do it [it]

Chrishell explained that they never discussed the divorce further, saying, “I talked to him right after that because I thought that must be a joke, but that was kind of the end of the communication.”

A source told People at the time of their split that the couple had been in “ issues ” for a while and were “ fundamentally incompatible ” as a couple.

The source said: ‘Chrishell is really ready to just settle down and have a wife and a mother staying at home, hoping to start a family relatively soon.

Justin wants that but also doesn’t think it should happen in the near future and is at a point in his career when he really wants to be able to explore all the options that come his way.

He’s reached a new level of fame thanks to the show and he doesn’t want to close many doors right now, and that’s not the path Chrishell wants to take.

“She thought babies would happen soon after they got married, but it just didn’t work out.”

While the divorce has undoubtedly been a difficult time for both, Chrishell and Justin have each entered into new relationships in recent months.

Six months after the announcement in May 2020, Justin was seen kissing his former Young And Restless co-star Sofia Pernas while dropping him off at a doctor’s appointment.

Shortly after, it was confirmed that the couple had started dating, but it’s still unclear when they started their relationship.

They made their relationship Instagram official on New Years Eve, as they each shared a few photos on their pages.

As Sofia writes: ‘Happy New Year from our quarantine box to yours’

And Justin said, ‘Last minutes of 2020 here in LA. Come on 2021! Happy New Year!’

Shortly after, Sofia paid tribute to her beau on his 44th birthday, saying, ‘Celebrate this man with my favorite screenshot. That smile !!! Light up my sky. Happy Birthday, [darling]

Sofia was Justin’s character Adam Newman’s on-screen girlfriend Marisa Sierras for nearly a year, but left shortly before Chrishell joined the show in 2016.

Chrishell first publicly acknowledged her grief over Justin’s new relationship in September 2020, when she told People it was “ painful ” to see him move on.

She said, “I feel like everyone would be heartbroken to see how quickly or easily you are replaced, of course that’s going to sting.”

Meanwhile, following her stint on Dancing With The Stars, Chrishell entered into a relationship with professional dancer Keo Motsepe, 31, who has teamed up with actress Anne Heche this season.

Keo chased Chrishell throughout the celebrity streak, often relying on the star’s pro partner Gleb Savchenko, 37, to send her hints.

In a sweet post uploaded to Instagram on December 3, Chrishell confirmed that she and Keo had decided to stock up on love.

And things seemed to be going well, as the couple had just returned from a trip to Mexico at the end of December.

Justin fathered teenage daughter Isabella, 16, to ex Lindsay Hartley, 42, to whom he was married from 2004 to 2012.

Although the actor has remained a mother after his divorce from Chrishell, he confirmed that he was in a good place last year.

He told Entertainment Tonight in July 2020: ‘I am a lucky boy. I sleep like a baby. I have nothing on my mind.

‘I treat people the way I want to be treated and I have lovely friends who love me and I love them. And I have this wonderful daughter, and I have a wonderful family, and I am a very, very happy, happy person. ‘
