Subject that drove without tag and without a driver’s license collides with a patrol in Hatillo

Puerto Rico police reported a minor car accident with a service vehicle in the early morning hours on Highway 130 from Barrio Capaez in the town of Hatillo, involving a patrol.

As reported by Officer Jonathan Hernández Cuevas of the Arecibo Highway Patrols, while driving the vehicle from North to South, he intervened with a Jeep driver in the center of the taxiway as he approached with the patrol to perform the intervention. He was hit by the driver of the Jeep with the front left to the front right of the patrol.

The driver was identified as Edgardo Rivera Valentín, a 29-year-old resident of the city of Hatillo. He was driving the Jeep without a label, he did not have a driver’s license when applying for it or registering it, he got 8 tickets for clerical error and he was tested for alcohol in his body showing 074% so he will not be subjected to the intoxication for a magistrate.

No one was injured and the damage had not been estimated.
