Stove football: The return of Jesús Godínez to Chivas from León is almost a fact

The final leg of the Guard1anes 2021 League MX tournament is approaching and the club directors are already planning what their ups and downs will be in the next Apertura championship. In the case of the Chivas de Guadalajara, the High Command even analyzes the continuity of the technical director, Víctor Manuel Vucetich, and the sports director, Ricardo Peláez.

However, One of the problems that concerns them all has to do with the return of all the footballers that the Holy Flock has temporarily assigned to other institutions today. Jesús Godínez, today in León, is one of them. Alexis Peña, who hasn’t added minutes in Cruz Azul this semester, is another.

In the case of the former, Chuy arrived at Club León in mid-2019, replacing José Juan Macías, who returned to the institution after starring in the Esmeraldas. However, the forward has not been considered by Ignacio Ambriz, and currently he has been completely and completely cleared from the calls and from Bajío’s first team.

So far, Godínez was only considered a starter once in Guard1anes 2021. He’s added just 72 minutes in five games and hasn’t returned to the field since matchday 10. Neither as a starter, nor as a substitute.

Guanajuato sources assure the Club León board has no interest in passing the forward, so his return to Chivas de Guadalajara for the 2021 Apertura tournament is practically a fact. Will he stay in the fold or will he have to find a new destination?
