Storage Wars stars Brandi Passante and Jarrod Schulz quietly split up in 2018

“Storage Wars” has been on television since 2010, with stars Brandi Passante and Jarrod Schulz at its core.

Until Tuesday, the show hadn’t been on air since 2018, and while there could be a myriad of reasons behind the hiatus, one could be the former couple’s split.

Once they planned to hitchhike, the couple broke up in 2018, as Passante revealed on The Dad Diary YouTube channel last summer, per Newsweek.

The split may have come as a surprise to fans, as their wedding planning was chronicled in the “Storage Wars” spin-off “Brandi & Jarrod: Married to the Job” in 2014 – though they never tied the knot.

The reason for the split is murky, but Passante, 40, has indicated it’s not being kind enough by sharing a promotional poster of the show with her ex and putting a demonic emoji all over his face.

The star has also dropped breadcrumbs related to the end of her relationship with Schulz, 43.

In her interview on The Dad Diary, Passante said she raised her and Schulz’s two children on her own.

“I’ve done it a lot on my own anyway, but it’s the scary father’s voice in the background that we miss,” she said at the time, adding later, “I always have them, 24/7 they’re here with me,” so I have to navigate that. “

Tuesday’s new season of “Storage Wars” also confirmed their split, showing the two running into each other at storage locker auctions – gatherings she called “uncomfortable,” the outlet said.

“I’m no longer with Jarrod,” Passante said on the season 13 premiere episode, according to People magazine.

Schulz also explained, “Just because I and Brandi are no longer together doesn’t mean we can’t go to an auction – but separately.”

In February, Passante again addressed her breakup with Schulz in an interview on the Spirit Talk YouTube show, where she also revealed that she doesn’t see anyone seriously – although Schulz’s social media indicates he has a new partner.

“I wasn’t really allowed to have an identity for many, many years. And so in recent years I kind of come into my own and find out who I am,” she said. “I just don’t have an attachment to anyone.”

Outside of Tuesday’s episode, Schulz remained closed about the breakup.
