WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin recently spoke with FOX Sports’ Ryan Satin and confirmed that his in-ring career is over as he no longer wants to wrestle.
Stone Cold hasn’t wrestled since his retirement in 2003, and now Austin says he doesn’t want to do anything else in the ring. He made the comments when asked if he would like to have his “Broken Skull Sessions” show on the WWE network as a way to keep him connected to the current roster.
“Man, 100 percent,” Austin said. “Because, you know, I’m still the biggest fan of the company that I was when I was seven years old and changed the channels and stumbled over them; and then I got the chance to learn it and have a pretty good run. ., I don’t want to do anything else in the ring. I’m done. I’m retired Everyone knows that.
“I don’t have to go out and drop someone on a pile of dimes and give them anesthesia. Once a year, once every two years, whatever. So yes. This connection makes sense. I paved the way that I did and I had the career that I had, but I still watch all these people who came to the show. So the fact that I can still have a bit of a hand in the wrestling world and my finger on the pulse, yes, that’s the relationship I want and cherish. “
During the interview, Austin was asked his thoughts on WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and his heel, and the work he did with Paul Heyman.
“I like it because it looks like Paul is helping to anchor him. [Roman]has always been very good. “He can work really hard,” Austin said. ‘They had to turn it back a long way in time. But they would never pull the trigger. Vince, you know. He’s the man. He looks good. Body. He can work. Vince never wanted to pull the trigger.
