Stephen Curry tops Kobe Bryant while Warriors beat 76ers

Stephen Curry had 10 three-pointers and finished with 49 points to extend his scoring streak in the Golden State Warriors’ 107-96 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday.

With his triple to level the game at 86, Curry went to 11 consecutive games scoring 30 points or more, surpassing Kobe Bryant for the majority of all players over the age of 33. Curry, who turned 33 last month, also has the longest 30-plus game streak with the Warriors since Wilt Chamberlain in 1964.

The point guard also hit five games in April with over 40 points, beating Bryant and Michael Jordan with the most games in a month of over 40 points after turning 33.

He scored 3-pointers late in the fourth quarter to make it 91-90 and 96-92 for the Warriors to beat the best team in the East.

Joel Embiid, who had 28 runs for the 76ers, threw the ball wide and Andrew Wiggins scored on the other side to end the game.

The Sixers had no star Ben Simmons (illness) and starter Tobias Harris (right knee).
