State begins vaccine registration for Vermonters with health issues

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Starting Monday morning, the next phase of the vaccine rollout will begin in Vermont.

Teachers and people 55 and older with underlying health conditions can now apply for the vaccine.

The state is now opening vaccination appointments to public and private school teachers and staff, additional public safety workers, correctional personnel, 911 operators, police lieutenants, and Vermonters 55 and above with underlying health issues.

Teachers have to wait for more information from their school district to apply.

Spouses and families of educators are not eligible.

From 8.15 am you can click here to register for your admission.

Click here to see which health conditions qualify under state criteria.

Next week, people aged 16-54 with underlying conditions can make an appointment.
