As a limited supply of the coronavirus vaccine has become available across Florida, residents are understandably curious when they can line up for a dose.
New locations will open in the state in the coming days, while one of the largest locations in all of South Florida will close their gates a little early Monday.

Florida adds 11,576 new COVID-19 cases, reports 163 more virus-related deaths Monday
Florida added more than 11,500 new COVID-19 cases on Monday as the virus-related death toll in the state rose by more than 160.
The 11,576 new confirmed COVID-19 cases brought Florida’s total to 1,488,586 since the start of the outbreak, according to figures released by the state’s Department of Health.
Another 138 virus-related deaths were reported among Florida residents on Monday, bringing the total to 23,071.
Broward Health Opening Covid vaccination site at Inter Miami Stadium in Fort Lauderdale
Broward Health is working with the team and the City of Fort Lauderdale to begin vaccinations at Inter Miami CF Stadium in Lockhart Park Tuesday.
Patients must pre-register to be eligible for vaccination and must be 65 years of age or older, office staff from Broward Health’s licensed physicians, ambulance care, or unlicensed community health providers who do not have access to the vaccine, as well as their office workers.
Patients must pre-register with BrowardHealth.org, and walk-ups are not accepted.
Technical problems as Miami-Dade opens limited number of vaccination appointments
Miami-Dade County opened a limited number of appointments for the COVID vaccine for seniors in the area on Monday, which filled up quickly, but not before the website for booking them ran into technical difficulties.
The portal opened at 2:00 PM to residents 65 and older, but crashed before reopening around 2:45 PM. 2,000 appointments were fulfilled in less than 10 minutes, Levine Cava said.
New Broward COVID-19 vaccine site opened in Coral Springs amidst backlog
A new COVID-19 vaccine distribution location opens in Broward County at a Coral Springs shopping center.
City officials said the site will open at Coral Square Mall on Wednesday through a partnership with the Florida Department of Health.
Officials said appointments will not be available through the FDOH portal for the Coral Springs site until they are able to process their current backlog. About 40,000 people are on the list awaiting vaccination appointments, officials said.
Miami-Dade opens a limited number of vaccination appointments on Monday
Miami-Dade County opens a limited number of appointments for the COVID vaccine for seniors in the area on Monday.
The province will open the appointments from 2 p.m. to residents aged 65 and older. Appointments can be requested via this link.
Miami-Dade officials say they are working to make the vaccine available to the community as soon as possible.
Two South Florida Worship Centers Among New Sites for COVID Vaccines
Two locations in South Florida will be under different worship centers in the state that will begin to provide the COVID vaccine to seniors.
Florida government Ron DeSantis announced the locations Sunday in Lynn Haven, just outside Panama City. Facilities include Hollywood locations at the Koinonia Worship Center and a Fort Lauderdale location at New Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Other locations in the state include Lynn Haven, Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Tampa, and St. Lucie. DeSantis added that the sites are intended to give the vaccine to people in predominantly black communities in the state.

Florida adds 12,300 new cases, more than 100 deaths by residents on Sunday
According to the state’s daily report, Florida has added more than 12,000 new COVID-19 cases and more than 100 resident deaths.
The 12,313 new confirmed cases brought Florida’s total to 1,477,010 since the start of the outbreak, according to figures released by the state’s Department of Health.
Another 108 virus-related deaths among Florida residents were reported Sunday, bringing the total to 22,912.
The positivity rate for new cases in the state was 10.40% in Sunday’s health report, down from Saturday’s 10.79%.
Celtics-Heat game postponed due to virus issues
Sunday’s game between Boston and Miami was postponed due to concerns about tracking contacts within the Heat, a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press.
Vaccination site Hard Rock Stadium closes early Monday
The Miami Gardens venue will close early due to the College Football Playoff national title game between Alabama and the state of Ohio.
Residents can now schedule an appointment to receive the coronavirus vaccine at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. A spokesman for the Florida Division of Emergency Management said there will be about 1,000 appointments per day due to a limited supply of doses available from the federal government.
