As part of today’s Square Enix showcase, the publisher showcased another snippet of his ‘narrative adventure set in a beautiful yet cruel world’, Project athiaOnly it is not called Project athia Lake. Now it is, uh, Forspoken, a name that, if nothing else, was never spoken before.

Forspoken will be published in 2022. Last year Sony said it will be an exclusive PS5 console for “at least 24 months,” but it will also appear on PC at launch.

On the PlayStation blog, game director Takeshi Aramaki shared new details about the game – that is each details, however scarce.

Forspoken is an action RPG in which you take on the role of Frey Holland, an ordinary young woman who must use her magical skills to survive in a fantastic and dangerous land called Athia, ”he wrote. “As Frey, you embark on an exciting, alien adventure and face treacherous trials to unravel the mystery behind the unknown land of Athia and awaken something much more from within.”

Aramaki continued to say the focus is on movement speed and smoothness, something that can be seen during the short gameplay portion of the trailer, where Frey looks like she learned all her moves from WarframeI like it; Warframe is dope, and I think every game should be stealing bullets.
