SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Springfield’s City Utilities and Liberty Utilities are performing more rolling blackouts across their nets.
City Utilities rotates two sections at the same time. The rolling blackout can last for an hour. If it takes longer, report the fault. The blackouts will continue until further notice. CU representatives say they will try to determine a pattern for which area is next. The blackouts happen every half hour.
Meanwhile, Liberty Utility customers can be affected by required monitored service outages. The utility says that if additional service interruptions are required, they will interrupt service in blocks throughout their electrical system.
Power outages can last up to an hour for each block. Liberty asks customers to prepare in advance.
