Special artistic applause for Albert Rodríguez | Stage

The surprising death of actor and director Albert Rodríguez served to smooth out the rough edges of the past at television stations, allowing their talents to come together to celebrate their partner’s life and legacy, in El Remix, by Wapa.

The film, theater and television actor played a key role in his characters in the aforementioned Wapa TV show, produced by Emmanuel “Sunshine” Logroño, with whom Rodríguez collaborated on the aforementioned channel for over 25 years.

The remix held its 10 PM today to honor Rodríguez. It started with the comedy Before and After, the wedding featured by Albert and Marian Pabón. Followed by loud applause. Then they continued to alternate important ‘sketches’ with the anecdotes of those present with the deceased artist.

“We’re going to make another Remix, we’re going to celebrate the life of our brother Albert,” said Logroño.

The production was attended by nearly thirty of his colleagues, including former talents from Logroño productions such as René Monclova and Jorge Castro, who now work at Telemundo’s Raymond y sus amigos. Suzette Bacó and Cristina Soler were also in attendance.

There were also Deddie Romero and his daughter Didi, Maricarmen Avilés, Alfonso Alemán, Tita Guerrero, Fernando Arévalo, Jesús Muñoz, Angelique Burgos, Janibeth Santiago and Yaiza Figueroa. Except the current cast of El Remix: Kiko Núñez, Francis Rosas, Fernand Miranda, Barry Rosas, Wanda Sais, Luis Galán, Luis Ponce and Mara Vélez. The latter two recommended by Rodríguez.

“He was great, I think the devil lived in him. Albert was a unique and very special person, we have traveled a lot (with Jorge) and I have a thousand anecdotes, ”said Bacó, making everyone on the set laugh.

“We can tell anecdotes about Albert all night, we will really need it. We will never forget him, he will always be with us, ”said Logroño.

Rodríguez died at the age of 58, on March 15, of natural causes, at his residence in Bayamón. Due to covid-19 protocols, his wake will be private tomorrow at the Braulio Castillo Theater, in Bayamón; He will continue on Friday at the Jalvin funeral home in Añasco and will be buried with his parents in the cemetery of that city on Saturday.
