MADRID – The Spanish police said on Sunday that they have discovered the first workshop with a 3D printer to make illegal firearms in the country.
Police said one person was arrested in Tenerife in the Canary Islands after being linked to the clandestine workshop where the suspect allegedly made assault weapons using 3D printing.
In addition to the printer, agents also confiscated the components for 19 weapons made from 3D printing, various knives, chemicals that could be used to make explosives, and “objects with white supremacy symbols.”
