Sony is pulling Cyberpunk 2077 off the PlayStation Store and offering full refunds

Sony pulls Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store and offers a full refund to anyone who purchased the game through the digital store, the company said Thursday. To initiate a refund, Sony will tell you to visit this site and log in to your PlayStation account to submit a request.

The game has been removed from PlayStation Store a few times Verge staffers on their PS5s, and the game doesn’t show up in a search for ‘Cyberpunk 2077On the web version of the store.

Players have discovered that Cyberpunk 2077, which has only been out for a week, is full of bugs. The game looks good on PS5, but in the few hours I’ve played the game I’ve run into a few complete crashes on the PS5 home screen and some distracting visual glitches. On PS4, the game fares a lot worse – Eurogamer reported poor performance, low frame rate and texture pop-in.

The move comes just days later Cyberpunk 2077 developer CD Projekt Red said people who are unhappy with their purchase should ask for a refund. However, due to Sony’s strict refund policy, many who bought digital versions of the game from PlayStation Store could not get a refund.

It is unclear when Sony plans to return Cyberpunk 2077 to the PlayStation Store. It’s also not clear whether Microsoft intends to pull the game from stores in the same way and offer a full refund. The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
