ERIE COUNTY, Ohio – Counties in northeastern Ohio have enacted snow emergency levels due to Monday night snowfall.
Provinces under a level 3 advice:
- Erie County.
- Huron County.
Provinces under a level 2 advice:
- Ashland County.
- Lorain County.
- Medina County.
Provinces under a level 1 advice:
Snow Emergency Classifications, according to the Ohio Committee for Severe Weather Awareness:
LEVEL 1: Roads are dangerous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads can also be slippery. Drivers are urged to drive very carefully.
LEVEL 2: Roads are dangerous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads can also be very icy. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive are allowed on the road. Check with your employer to see if you need to report to work. Motorists must be extremely careful.
LEVEL 3: All roads are closed to non-emergency workers. No one should drive under these conditions unless absolutely necessary to travel or if there is a personal emergency. All employees should contact their employer to see if they need to report to work. Those traveling by road can submit to arrest.
