Rapper Snoop Dogg has a message for President Trump and his aides: “I love what they did,” he said, granting leniency to Death Row Records co-founder Michael “Harry O” Harris.
Harris learned on Tuesday that he will be released early from prison on Trump’s orders, although the White House has not yet said so publicly.
The music and marijuana magnate was informed of the decision on Sunday and said he wanted to share a message with the outgoing president.
“That’s a great job for the president and his team on the way out,” said Snoop Dogg in a comment shared with The Post.
“They did a great job while in there and they did a great job on their way out. Let them know I love what they did. “
He also said, “It’s amazing what the work of God can really bring to life in making people understand that there is a God.”
Snoop Dogg praised Trump on a Zoom call with reform attorneys Alice Johnson and Weldon Angelos, who shared the recording with his consent.
The Zoom rally was convened so Johnson could bring the news to Snoop Dogg that Harris, 59, would receive leniency after three decades in prison for attempted murder and cocaine trafficking. He would be released in June 2028.
“Happy Sunday” says Snoop Dogg, before hearing the purpose of the Zoom call.
Johnson, the first drug offender to free Trump from life imprisonment, after lobbying by Kim Kardashian and later pardon, then shared the news.
Johnson tells Snoop Dogg, “I just got a call from the White House and Harry-O is getting leniency. He’s coming home, brother! “
Snoop exclaims, “God is good!”
An excited Johnson agrees: “Always! Always! Always!”
Harris was told he had been granted leniency at the Lompoc Federal Correctional Institution in California, said Angelos, who received his own pardon from Trump in December.
Angelos said Harris sent him an email saying, “Thank goodness. God is great. It feels like the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders. “
Snoop’s efforts came even though he was an outspoken critic of Trump – even making a video pretending to shoot a clown dressed as the president.
Angelos credited his first daughter Ivanka Trump for Harris’s upcoming release, more than seven years before it was due to take place on June 13, 2028.
“Credit for this one goes to Ivanka Trump because Ivanka Trump would not take no for an answer,” he said.
He said Ivanka “did this for Alice Johnson and this is a huge win for hip hop.”
