‘SNL’ Zillow skit a bit too real for Twitter

Is a buyer’s market better than a booty call?

A new Skit “Saturday Night Live” Over 30s seeking fun browsing through Zillow’s real estate listings have hit a nerve on social media.

The pre-produced sketch of the show’s Saturday episode begins with a parody of an evocative infomercial, as cast members squirm on beds and couches under soft lighting.

Sultry voice-overs are heard asking, “Are you bored?” “Looking for something to brighten up your life?” “You used to want sex, but now you’re in your late thirties,” “and sex doesn’t really work for me anymore.”

“You need something new”, “Then you need Zillow.com”

The sketch then reveals that the tortured actors crave lusty real estate listings, not pornography.

“An updated colonial, with mature landscape,” moans cast member Alex Moffat.

“I want to turn that around,” said cast member Mikey Day.

“I would never want to live in North Carolina, but if I did I could buy a big gross mansion,” moans guest host Dan Levy as he watches an ad for a $ 427,000 McMansion with seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

“The pleasure you once had from sex now comes from looking at other people’s homes,” continues a voiceover.

The evocative skit takes an abrupt turn when Day calls a real estate agent and the brash real estate agent’s no-nonsense sales pitch quickly kills the mood.

The fake ad was a big hit on Twitter, where it got nearly 50,000 likes and hundreds of comments.

“Bahhahahah I’m in my 30’s and I was late at Zillow last night !!!! This is good, ”one user tweeted.

“How dare SNL attack us with that Zillow commercial!” joked another popular response.

‘So, what if I told you guys I’ve seen a little … oh, idk, someone else? Their name is @realtordotcom, ”posted another.

Comedian Ted Alexandro accused SNL of stealing his joke, posting a little he performed in the Comedy Cellar about real estate fantasies.

But Zillow liked to take the amorous attention, tweeting: “Yes, football is great, but have you ever been to Zillow?”
