Cecily Strong may be open this weekend Saturday Night Live with a solid new Marjorie Taylor Greene impression, but she was one-upped during “Weekend Update” when Beck Bennett knocked out his Mike Lindell.
Lindell joined Colin Jost to talk about his banning from Twitter after continuing to push for false conspiracy theories about voter fraud and snuggled close to his MyPillow as he reversed allegations that he helped inspire the Capitol insurgents.
“Well, wait a minute, Buck-o, I ain’t sparked no rebellion, nobody!” Lindell stated. “I’m just a normal American ex-crack addict who became a pillow CEO and advisor to a former president.”
He also swore that he didn’t actually meet with Trump about “martial law” earlier this month. “I just proposed that the military overthrow the government,” he said. “And if that’s not democracy, I don’t know what it is!”
From there, Lindell admitted that he gets all of his best political ideas from his MyPillow. “What’s that, MyPillow?” he asked. “Really? Wow! MyPillow said Dominion bypassed the voting machine algorithms so China could turn it around for Biden, with Hugo Chavez, Kim Jong-un and Chrissy Teigen!”
He concluded the piece by reading a loose excerpt from his memoirs: ‘What are the odds? From Crack Addict to CEO “before yelling at Jost,” My brain is on fire “and then, for the record,” Jane Krakowski is obsessed with me! “
It was the most insane hilarious moment of the episode – until Bowen Yang and Kyle Mooney appeared as Fran Lebowitz and Martin Scorsese.
