San Luis Obispo County added 324 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, bringing the county’s Jan. 15 total to 15,102 confirmed cases on Jan. 15.
Health officials say 50 people have been hospitalized. Another 2,675 people are recovering at home and health officials say 12,220 people have recovered.
San Luis Obispo County reports that 17 of the county’s 38 accredited and staffed ICU beds are currently occupied. Six of these have been taken by COVID-19 patients.
In San Luis Obispo County, there were 128 deaths from COVID-19, an increase of three from the day before.

The location of 80 additional cases is being investigated, and an additional eight are listed as “other”, including communities with fewer than five cases. The Health Department does not identify those locations.
Community COVID-19 test sites are currently open to the public in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Morro Bay, Grover Beach and Nipomo.
