San Luis Obispo County added 412 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the county’s total to 12,597 confirmed cases on Jan. 7.
Health officials say 53 people have been hospitalized, including 14 patients who are in ICU. Another 2,988 people are recovering at home and health officials say 9,432 people have recovered.
According to the California state of California online COVID-19 dashboard, there are currently 13 ICU beds available in San Luis Obispo County.
There have been 95 deaths attributed to COVID-19 in San Luis Obispo County.

- Avila Beach – 21

- San Simeon – 9
The location of 55 additional cases is under investigation, and a further nine are listed as “other”, including communities with fewer than five cases. The Health Department does not identify those locations.
Community COVID-19 test sites are currently open to the public in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Morro Bay, Grover Beach and Nipomo.
