Skillibeng, the EastSyde Records signer, continues to push the boundaries in more violations of the law in its tracks. His latest release, Coke while self-explanatory isn’t quite as enlightening as his new music video.
Directed by Beans Edital, the visual, which is now trending No. 1 in Jamaica, dropped onto the artist’s Vevo page yesterday to find Skilli in one of his other entertaining conspiracies. This time in relation to the suspicious plane crash in Clarendon, Jamaica, just over a week ago.
According to Skilli, he had a hand in the whole operation, which resulted in the plane crash-landing off the coast of Rocky Point in the parish. Skillibeng uses a clip from the Prime Time News coverage for the track’s intro, while the investigation continues into what really happened.
Incorporated with sketches from the 1999 Jamaican action crime movie, Third World Agent, Skilli reveals, “Di plane just crashed with coke … di pilot crashed with coke. I’m glad the plane lands and blows up the nuh. With his weapons loaded and ammunition piled up, he and his “aliens” remove the merchandise from the plane and set out for “trample di road”.
The Fair prince says he’s not a user, he’s all about the business, ”Mi nuh put it in an instant. Ah, sell me, sell it like they own a store … 1 million plus tax for a key. Tell a rat you don’t drive me cheese, di alien dem a go capture yuh fi it, bear shot tek yuh, bear crocodile teet. “
The video clip shows every scene of Skilli’s plan, from the spraying of worn-out fishing boats heading to the crash site at sea to the deejay sitting inside and the occasional on top of the half-sunken plane as he spreads his lyrical plot.
However, Skillibeng is getting mixed reactions from fans.
“How Skillibeng makes a video of the aircraft being” investigated “?” said a Twitter user. Another said, “Tell the Commissioner” the plane crashed with coke “and someone else added,” Look at Skillibeng-Coke. “
While some enjoyed Skilli’s new release, others didn’t think it bothered, referring to the song as weak: “If Skillibeng is the next 3 song flop, it’s over because the coke plane never hit lmao,” said one follower, and another agreed: must have thought he made it to the point where he got the Midas touch. He is mistaken. Sorry to say, but I think it’s Coke, bro. “
“Skillibeng needs a little quality control, ”said another fan.
