Sinovac Biotech (SVA.O) has delivered 260 million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine worldwide, of which more than 60% delivered to countries outside of China, the company’s CEO, Yin Weidong, said Tuesday.

The company produces more than 6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine per day, Yin said at the annual Boao Forum for Asia, the region’s response to Davos.

“We plan to select 10 countries for technology transfer as soon as possible,” said Yin, adding that the current cross-border joint production is insufficient.

Sinovac has received orders overseas for a total of more than 450 million doses of its CoronaVac vaccine, according to Reuters calculations, with Brazil, Indonesia, Turkey and Chile among the top buyers.

Sinovac has already outsourced a number of vaccine production procedures to partners in Brazil and Indonesia, among others.

At least 160 million doses of the vaccine have already been administered worldwide, Yin said.
