The singer of the musical group Merengue Rick’s Zone Jaime Cruz Pastrana, known as Jimy, was reportedly shot by hitmen in the municipality Ecatepec de Morelos in the state of Mexico in Mexico.

The singer was reportedly murdered outside his home on the street Azucena, section Flores, from the colony Morelos Gardens, where he was attacked with firearms, by at least two subjects traveling on a scooter.

At the crime scene, authorities found more than 8 casings against the singer of the group Rick’s Zone

Rick’s Zone is a merengue orchestra founded in 2001 by Gustavo Cruz And his brother Jaime Cruz (who was murdered), and that it is recognized as one of the few groups in Mexico to have been a phenomenon in this genre.

His musical successes are: Spanish girl, Karamelo, I’m going, I swear, I love you, fresh fruits, kisses, chakicha, among others.

They are originally from Colombia, but they emigrated 20 years ago and in their quest for fame they were part of more than 15 groups.
