European Super League: should big six players be banned internationally? Should clubs be banned from CL?
The proposed European Super League is a “shameful, selfish” plan and a “spit in the face of football fans,” said UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin.
The 53-year-old also said that players representing the teams involved would be “banned from the World Cup and the euro”. The governing body also indicated on Sunday that the players would be banned from all other competitions at the national, European or world level.
The impact on the England team for this summer’s tournament would of course be huge without players from Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea. And the consequences for the Champions League would also be huge.
