Shooting injures 2 people at Lehigh County Walmart: Police

WHITEHALL, Pennsylvania (WPVI) – Whitehall Township police are investigating a shooting in a Lehigh County Walmart Friday that injured two people.

The incident occurred just before 6:00 PM at Block 2600 of MacArthur Road.

Police say two people have been shot.

On-site witnesses say the incident happened very suddenly.

“When we got to the parking lot, we saw one of the Whitehall police cars flying up the main gate here at TJ Maxx and then headed towards Walmart,” said Scott Dias of Upper Macungie. “Within seconds, we saw more than five or six police cars appear.”

Qusai Muhasen, New Jersey, said, “As I walk in, I hear like a ‘boom boom’. I thought it was a car exhaust or something.”

There is no topical word about the condition of the victims or any motive.

No further information has been released by officials at this time.
