Three men are in custody after reports of an ‘active gunman’ situation at a Walmart in Tennessee on Wednesday.

Police and emergency services were called to the superstore on Dolly Parton Parkway in Sevierville around 3:30 PM after receiving reports of a stray gunman.

Dozens of shoppers were rushed out of the store, and some took shelter at a nearby Chick-Fil-A, local news channel WVLT reported.

Restaurant manager Cody Cummings said panic ensued after the men got into an argument, in which one of them pulled a gun.

Customers were then informed through the loudspeaker that an armed man was walking through the store.

Sevierville police have confirmed that three people have since been detained after one shot was fired in the store, ABC6 reported.

A police spokesperson said there was no danger to the community at this time and no casualties have been reported.
