Southern Charm star Shep Rose told Andy Cohen how he first learned about co-star Madison LeCroy’s rumored romance with Alex Rodriguez – before the topic blew up unexpectedly during the show’s recent Bravo reunion.
Rose called into SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live” Monday and recalled the cast was filming a trip to Capers Island, South Carolina when LeCroy reportedly said, “in front of the camera – cameras buzzing around, we’re on a boat – and she says, “Well, I’m DMing with A-Rod, but we can’t talk about that. Or they can’t broadcast this because I signed a nondisclosure agreement.”
“That was the first time I heard about it, and I was like, ‘Oh my God!’” Rose told Cohen. My eyes almost came out of my head. Anyway, you know, I think from what I understand, he approached her. ”
Rose said of the footage in which LeCroy mentioned A-Rod, “They didn’t use that … and then we’ll get to it [the reunion show]I think it was [castmate] Craig [Conover] that let that cat out of the bag a little bit, and it didn’t take long for the internet or whatever to find out the answers, which it never does. Do it?”
A-Rod’s name was paged on the reunion show when he was raised.
LeCroy later confirmed to Page Six that the said mystery man was indeed Rodriguez. But she insisted that they only spoke on the phone.
“That’s the truth,” she told us, adding that they “were never physical … never had anything. Just an acquaintance.” And, “He never physically cheated on his fiancé with me,” she said, adding that the exchanges were “innocent”.
Sources close to Rodriguez went even further – they told LeCroy Post, “He doesn’t know this woman.”
Page Six reported exclusively on Friday that Rodriguez, 45, and Lopez, 51, parted ways.
The stars stayed up all night talking after our report hit, sources told us, and released a vague statement in the morning saying, “All reports are inaccurate. We are working on a number of things. ”
A-Rod then flew to Lopez on the set of her movie Monday in the Dominican Republic.
LeCroy, 30, had no comment when we contacted her on Friday, saying she was “taken aback” with news of the celebrity split.
