Sharon Osbourne appeared on “Real Time with Bill Maher” Friday night and spoke about her controversial departure from the CBS daytime talk show “The Talk”.
Bill Maher started the interview by asking how Osbourne was doing since she was last seen on TV.
“I am angry, I am hurt”, she answered, among other things, but stressed: “I am a fighter.”
As to what led to Osbourne’s departure from ‘The Talk’, Maher said to the former co-host, ‘I don’t think anything happened.’ He then repeated the ordeal, with Osbourne defending her boyfriend Piers Morgan, who similarly left ‘Good Morning Britain’ for his critical comments about Meghan Markle after the interview with Oprah Winfrey.

So he was called a racist and lost his job and you were called a racist and lost your job. Am I right?’ Maher asked.
“You’re right,” Osbourne replied. “That’s exactly how it went.”
Who is the racist and why? And this is what I’m trying to find out, ”said Maher.
“Me too, me too,” replied Osbourne. “I’ve been mentioned so many things in my life. I’m so used to being called names – but I won’t accept a ‘racist’.”

Maher then wondered if someone would be considered a “racist” if they didn’t believe “everything” that Markle said, an idea he called “insane.”
Osbourne explained to Maher the “ waking language ” she was told, in which the Sussex Dutchman was “ entitled to her feelings ” and that Markle was reportedly “ gutted ” by Morgan.
Maher then insisted that the royal family was “cold” against Markle and that racism “possibly” could have been a factor.

“They’re notoriously cuddly,” said Osbourne. “I get it because of her age, she’s a different generation.”

“Refuse a woman,” he doubts her, “Maher said of Morgan. “That’s not the same as denying.”
“No, it isn’t,” Osbourne agreed. ‘She’s entitled to her opinion, Piers’s right to his, and that’s what it’s all about. That’s what it’s all about! And then you are entitled to a difference of opinion, discuss it in a normal way. ‘
