Shailene Woodley confirmed she’s engaged to Aaron Rodgers during an interview on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Monday – giving viewers a first look at her engagement ring.
The 29-year-old actress’s starlet of the Green Bay Packers quarterback, 37, appears to have a big round center stone and can be caught several times throughout the segment as Woodley talked about the couple’s big move.
“It’s not new news to us, so it’s kind of funny that it makes everyone panic right now,” said the “Big Little Lies” star. “We’re like, ‘Yeah, we’ve been engaged for a while.'”
Woodley described her football-playing fiancé as a “wonderful, incredible person,” joked, “I never thought I would be engaged to someone who threw balls for a living.”
“As a little girl I never thought, ‘Yes, when I grow up, I’m going to marry someone who throws balls, yes!’ But he’s really that good at it. “
The “Divergent” star added, saying she met Rodgers during the pandemic: “I don’t know him as the soccer player. I know him as the nerd who said ‘Jeopardy!’ That’s the guy I know. “
Woodley and Rodgers – who share the same astrologer – were first linked romantically in early February. Days later, Rodgers announced he was engaged, but kept his fiancé’s name a secret at the time.
Rodgers was previously in a relationship with Danica Patrick, while Woodley was linked to rugby player Ben Volavola.
