It is official!
Shailene Woodley confirmed on Monday that she is engaged to Aaron Rodgers during a performance on “The Tonight Show.”
“It’s not new news to us, so it’s kind of funny that it’s driving everyone crazy now,” said Woodley, 29,. “We’re like, ‘Yeah, we’ve been engaged for a while.'”
The ‘Big Little Liars’ star gushed over her 37-year-old fiancé, described him as a ‘wonderful, incredible person’ and joked about his career as a quarterback for the Green Bay Packers.
“I never thought I would be engaged to someone who threw balls for a living,” she joked. “As a little girl I never thought, ‘Yes, when I grow up, I’m going to marry someone who throws balls, yes!’
“But he’s just so good at it,” she added. “I’m very impressed.”
Woodley added that she and Rodgers met during the pandemic and admitted that she had never been to or watched a football game.
“I don’t know him as the soccer player,” she said. ‘I know him as the nerd who said’ Jeopardy! Want to host. That’s the guy I know. “
Rumors of a romance between the “Divergent” star and the NFL player didn’t circulate until early February, and just days later, Rodgers revealed that he was engaged.
Rodgers last dated Danica Patrick, while Woodley was previously linked to rugby player Ben Volavola.
