Serena Williams, one of the greatest tennis players in history, opened the doors of her 1,500-square-foot mansion Florida, and showcased the striking details of the property designed by his sister Venus, owner of the firm V Starr. The former number 1 decided to face a new project with sea and impressive views in an exclusive neighborhood north of Miami.
The result of the mansion responds to five years of work on the design. To name some of the luxuries of the property, suppose it has underfloor heating, a sauna, a wine cellar or a trophy room, where the 23 Grand Slam titles won by the tennis player rest. Serena’s daughter Olympia’s room has a handmade castle-shaped bed with a built-in slide.
The move to this mansion marked the first time she had been divorced from her sister. “I was away from Venus for the first time in my life, so I wanted a home with a lot of meaning,” he explains and adds. ‘You have to know what you are good at. I am very good at tennis, but not very good at interior decoration. I learned a lot from watching him do it. Venus“.
Venus explained that she must have made a 180 degree turn during the remodeling process. The house purchased had a Spanish Mediterranean style, a style far from his taste: “We are facing art and technology to highlight a more modern and minimalist aesthetic,” he explained.
The mansion does not have a tennis court, but behind a secret door, disguised as a bookcase, is a singing room. It features a podium, velvet stool, bar tables and a neon sign that reads “Srnade”, a playful tribute to Serena’s artistic hobby. According to the sisters, that room is exclusively reserved for ‘serious karaoke singers’.
