Both Warnock and Ossoff on Thursday during a lunchtime discussion with Senate Democrats and White House economic advisers described the pledge as pivotal to their respective victories, the paper said.

Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) Said the general consensus in the meeting was the need for quick, decisive action for another round of coronavirus relief.

“My strong impression was that there is general unanimity, and it is strong that we need to be courageous and determined, especially when administering injections and vaccines into people’s arms and putting money in people’s pockets and returning children go to school, ”said Blumenthal, according to the Post. “And one way to put money in people’s pockets is to keep our promises about stimulus payments.”
