Selena Gomez shares behind-the-scenes video clips for the new Spanish-language song De Una Vez

Selena Gomez confessed during a behind-the-scenes video on Tuesday that she believes she sounds better when she sings in Spanish than in English.

The 28-year-old singer revealed in an accompanying video for her new Spanish-language song De Una Vez that she released last week.

The video opened with an exterior shot of a one-story suburban house and then showed Selena getting her hair and makeup done.

Selena and a friend told a story about a mutual friend who wore a clown costume to play a joke.

She laughed as she got her hair styled and shared how she deliberately uses a straight face with their boyfriend.

“This is actually my first Spanish song I’ve made since I think I was maybe 18, 19,” Selena said after singing a few lines from De Una Vez.

Selena took charge of the opening scene and raw footage played with her in a pink floral-print dress, lying on a bed with satin sheets and pillows.

“In fact, I spent hours perfecting the language, and I knew some of it growing up,” Selena said, wearing white Beats headphones.

‘It was great fun to join. It’s just a whole different world. And I personally think that guys, I don’t know if anyone else really cares, but I think I sound better in Spanish than English. What is weird? That’s just my thing, ‘she added.

Selena, sitting on a yellow couch, showed her funny side when she explained that she had just used some of her “magical powers” to turn off all the lights in the room.

Raw footage from the video clip then showed her dancing with her arms in a circle while the lights went out in sync.

‘I used to be a wizard on this Disney show, so’ Selena joked referring to her starring role in the Disney Channel series Wizards Of Waverly Place from 2007 to 2012.

The Una Vez is Selena’s first Spanish-language song since A Year Without Rain in 2010.
