Scientific coalition has not discussed protocols for opening schools

The president of the Puerto Rico Scientific Coalition, Dr. Daniel Colón Ramos, denied that the entity had discussed the Ministry of Education’s protocols for the reopening of schools.

Using the social network Twitter, the health worker refuted the agency because it indicated in the protocol for opening schools that had been leaked that the recommendations of the Puerto Rico Department of Health, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (PR-OSHA) , the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, and the Puerto Rico Scientific Coalition.

“The Coalition has not yet talked about reopening protocols for schools. I believe that the recommendations mentioned in this Dept Education presentation refer to general recommendations, ”Colón wrote.

Colón was appointed chairman of the coalition by Governor Pedro Pierluisi last November.

Yesterday, the coalition published its recommendations for the new executive order, asking for it not to be relaxed, but the president did not heed the advice.
