Saudi Arabia is hit by a rare snowstorm as the region sees snow falling

These camels are picking up their chunks in Saudi Arabia, which was hit by a snowstorm on Thursday, according to a report.

The gloomy dromedaries – with their humps resembling snowy mountains – were captured on video during the surreal storm as they looked around their surroundings.

Meanwhile, residents of Tabuk and the adjacent mountainous region enjoyed the winter wonderland as the popular holiday destination was covered in snow, the Khaleej Times reported.

Residents and tourists, including some driving from the UAE, came to the area to enjoy the weather, which is an annual phenomenon, Al Arabiya said.

The winter season in the kingdom is called Kashta, or camping season.

Thursday’s highs in Saudi Arabia were 56 degrees Fahrenheit, with a low of about 36 degrees in the Tabuk area.
