Santiago Ormeño, the Mexican soccer player with the most goals scored in any league in the world

The Puebla forward scored 13 goals in the 2020-2021 season to outpace JJ Macías, Henry Martín, as well as Hirving Lozano.

PUEBLA – Santiago Ormeño already matched the six goals he scored in the last tournament in Guard1anes 2021, a situation that confirms his good time as a goalscorer and makes him the Mexican top scorer in every league in the world, by adding the goal in Liguilla, to reach 13 annotations.

The Puebla forward is the Mexican top scorer in the league so far in the 2020-2021 season, beating José Juan Macías (12) and Henry Martín (12) with his goal against Tigres, who follow him in the MX league, but as it’s about Mexican footballers abroad, Ormeño has already left Hirving Lozano behind (nine goals in Serie A, goals in the Cup or Champions League are not counted).

Other Mexican forwards counted are Luis Ángel Landí, who has 10 goals with Guastatoya of the Guatemala First Division.

Raúl Jiménez’s injury from a head clash with David Luiz earned him four Premier League scores, and he is unable to return to activity as he is recovering from main surgery, preventing him from increasing his League scoring quota .

At the age of 27, Ormeño is still a case of late awakening, as happened with Oribe Peralta, as he barely made his First Division debut in just over three years, but he is the Mexican striker with the most scores to date . . on the season, he teams up with six of Puebla’s 11 goals in the tournament.

Santiago Ormeño can still play for the national teams of Mexico or Peru, as he has both nationalities, although neither federation has so far called for the attacker.

“It’s my two countries (Mexico and Peru) and I think maybe no one will call me, but I’ll go with the first one who calls me and is interested in me,” said the rush hour center a few weeks ago.
