Santiago is the grandson of Walter Ormeño, better known as ‘Superman’ who stopped at Alianza, Universitario, Millonarios, Boca Juniors, América and Atlante. Football always went through his veins and the family always supported him to make a career.

Santiago Ormeño had to row from the bottom up and in 2020 his pass was valued at just 200,000 euros, the cheapest striker in Mexican football. However, his good actions and goals have now set his record a million euros and his contract with Puebla expires in June 2022. The ‘camotero’ club is said to be already in negotiations to renew it.
