Santa Clara County Scrambles Forward to Peak COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments – NBC Bay Area

The Santa Clara County Public Health Department is anticipating the expected wave of people trying to secure appointments for their COVID-19 vaccine starting April 15.

Many residents have tried to book their appointment, but encounter problems and confusion. They say the website does not recognize them as eligible for an appointment.

However, Santa Clara County officials say the website has been fixed and residents should have no more issues with their eligibility.

The changes came after more complaints reached the county’s phone lines and websites saying no appointments were available.

As of Monday afternoon, the province will continue to update the website to reflect the changes. While eligibility for ages 16 and over is now being addressed online, officials point out that no appointments are available until April 15 or later.

More appointments and changes are expected in the days leading up to April 15, but the health department warns appointments will depend on the supply of vaccines.
