Sandra Scully, the wife of Hall of Fame announcer Vin Scully, died Sunday night from complications from a long battle with ALS, the Los Angeles Dodgers announced. She was 76 years old.
Sandra Scully leaves behind a large family with six children, 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She and Vin Scully were married for 47 years.
Vin Scully, 93, worked as a play-by-play announcer for the Dodgers for 67 years before retiring at the end of the 2016 season.
In a statement, Stan Kasten, CEO of Dodgers, wrote that Sandra Scully was “Vin’s biggest fan and was always there to lovingly support him at Dodger Stadium until his battle against ALS began. Scully, and it will miss him very much. ‘
