San Juan CIC is investigating an incident involving a minor who crashed into a swimming pool

A one-year-old child was transported to the Medical Center in Río Piedras after an accident in the pool of a home on Loíza Street in San Juan, the Police station.

According to Axel Valencia, Director of the Uniformed Press Office, agents arrived at the house at the intersection of Loíza Street with Las Américas Avenue after reporting an unfortunate incident at 9:41 PM

Upon arrival, officers found the boy who, according to the preliminary report, had drowned in the residence’s swimming pool. However, the circumstances that led to the incident are unknown.

Radiocontrol San Juan staff added that the child has been transported to the Medical Center, but at the moment they do not know what his condition is.

At this time, the police have not disclosed the name of the minor or his parents, whether they are Puerto Ricans or tourists.

Officers from the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) of San Juan are in charge of the investigation.
