The Petco Park vaccine superstation in San Diego will close again from Saturday due to a nationwide shortage of Moderna COVID-19 vaccines, a county spokesman confirmed to NBC 7.
The district spokesman said the closure would last until Tuesday.

It is the second time supply interruptions have forced a break at one of San Diego’s largest vaccination sites. NBC 7’s Dave Summers has more.
Appointments with the second dose are automatically rescheduled, the spokesperson said. Those affected by the delays are advised to check their MyUCSDChart account or seek an email with details of their new appointment date.
Petco Park only administers Moderna vaccines. No information has been released on the impact of this nationwide shortage on other local vaccine sites.
This is also the second weekend that the Petco Park vaccination site will be closed.
Extreme winter weather in parts of the US delayed the release of doses last week.
This also comes days after the county announced employees in schools, education and daycare; non-medical workers and workers in the food and agricultural sector are eligible for vaccinations from Saturday.
