Although Samsung is not expected to officially announce the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite until sometime in June, new leaked images seemingly just gave us a peek at Samsung’s next tablet, a few times months early.

In what appears to be press releases posted by well-known leaker Evan Blassthe Tab S7 Lite seems to have a similar design to last year standard Tab S7, with a full metal body with rounded corners, slightly square sides and a dual camera rear module.

Notably, the Tab S7 Lite has a magnetic charging zone on the back for storing and charging the tablet’s included stylus, along with speakers tuned by AKG. That said, it does look like the Tab S7 Lite only gets dual stereo speakers instead of the more powerful quad speakers Samsung in the regular Tab S7 and Tab S7 +.

Blass claims that the Tab S7 Lite will also come with a 12.4-inch LCD screen, although there was no mention that the Tab S7 Lite will support a high refresh rate display like its more expensive siblings. And like so many recent Samsung gadgets, the Tab S7 Lite should somehow support 5G connectivity thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chip.

Other rumors include 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage and a large oneish 7,000 mAh battery with 15 watts of wired charging. The Tab S7 Lite is expected to be available in four colors (black, green, pink and silver), and Samsung will also likely make optional covers or detachable keyboard accessories for the tablet.

The real surprise, however, is that we are even seeing renders of the device at all as the Tab S7 Lite is not expected to be announced until after the official announcement. Samsung’s next Unpacked event, which is scheduled for April 28.

That means Samsung has a few more small surprises up its sleeve for the Tab S7 Lite, although I wouldn’t wait for any major changes as the Tab S7 Lite looks like it will be positioned as Samsung’s more affordable but less exciting mid-range. slate, with a price tag likely closer to $ 450 than Samsung’s $ 850 for the S7 + tab.
