Samsung Android 11 update: These devices have One UI 3.0

It usually costs Android OEMs quite a bit to get the latest OS version on older devices, but Samsung is getting better and better at this every year. For Android 11, the official update schedule started in early December and continues to expand. Here’s every device Samsung has updated to Android 11 so far.

This article will be continuously updated with new devices once deployment begins.

Samsung’s Android 11 update offers the typical features you know and love from Google’s update, including improvements in notifications, Bubbles for messages, and many others. One that unfortunately got torn down were Google’s handy shortcuts to the power menu for smart home devices. Shame.

In addition to Android 11, the smartphone giant also includes One UI 3.0, which includes all the features that Galaxy owners have known and loved for years, as well as a few new additions and a fresh coat of paint on the design as a whole. It’s a slick look that continues to refine Samsung’s work on Android, which, frankly, has gotten really good over the years.

So which devices get Android 11? Samsung has confirmed updates for quite a few S, Note, Z and A series devices, but more devices are likely to be updated over time. This has been updated so far.

Samsung devices now getting Android 11

– Galaxy S20 series

The Galaxy S20, S20 +, and S20 Ultra, which came out from December 2, have all picked up the Android 11 update on multiple US carriers, as well as unlocked models and global carrier units.

– Galaxy S20 FE

While this Android 11 update has yet to reach the US, the Galaxy S20 FE started picking up the One UI 3.0 update in Russia on December 18, with the UK, India and Germany also getting updates. The rollout is expected to continue in other countries in the coming weeks.

– Galaxy Note 20 series

Around December 14, the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra saw updates to Android 11 on AT&T. Verizon, T-Mobile, and unlocked variants have since followed.

NEW 12/30: Galaxy Note 10 series

To close 2020, Samsung has rolled out Android 11 and One UI 3.0 to the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+. So far, the update has been spotted in Germany, but it should be rolled out to more regions in the coming days and weeks.

NEW 1/1: Galaxy Z Flip and Flip 5G

Samsung has traditionally been a bit slow to update its foldable version to new versions of Android, but the Galaxy Z Flip 5G broke that rule. The update on that device began on December 21 in Switzerland, but has not been confirmed for other regions.

Just before the New Year, Samsung also started rolling out the Android 11 update for its regular Galaxy Z Flip with an update of about 2 GB.

– Galaxy S10 Lite

You would probably expect the Galaxy S10 series to be updated pretty quickly, but no one expected the somewhat odd Galaxy S10 Lite to be the first to be updated. Still, we saw that on December 22 when the device picked up Android 11 in India and Spain. The update has since also been spotted in the US, UK and Germany.

Update 12/30: This article has been updated with information on the Galaxy Note 10 rollout and more regional details on other devices.
