Mexico City The Monarca emporium and the Carranza family are crumbling on the screen.
And it is that Osvaldo Benavides, one of the protagonists of the Netflix series produced by Salma Hayek, hinted at the possible cancellation of the project.
“For lack of news … I say goodbye to #AndresCarranza. What a nice project. Thanks for everything @monarcalaserie and all of us who were there. How proud we participated. Hello. #Tbt #monarca” wrote Benavides .
The story follows the Carranza family, an important Mexican family that owns a renowned tequila company, after the death of the patriarch and how to deal with power, lies, intrigue, corruption and crime in Mexico.
The series, which premiered its second season this year, also features great performances from Irene Azuela and Juan Manuel Bernal, who commented on the publication Benavides made on Instagram.
“I luv u (I love you). Brother”, published Azuela, Ana María’s interpreter.
“What a pride to have done with all that great crew! Nobody can take that away from me! And the tremendous satisfaction of giving the viewer a first world product, as we think all of Latin America deserves! Love you Bro! The # Carranza! I hug you! ”, Said Bernal, who plays Joaquín.
Fernando Rovzar, the series’ producer and director, had unofficially secured the show’s continuation.
It’s a Hayek production, through his Ventanarosa and Lemon Studios company.
So far, neither the filmmakers, Hayek, nor Netflix have confirmed a third season or the end of the series.
