Russian forces appear to be positioned near the border with Ukraine as tensions flare up

A two-minute clip of a leaked video entitled “ready to fight” appears to show Russian forces maneuvering tanks into position near the border with Ukraine as tensions flare up between neighboring countries.

The clip, apparently recorded by Russian soldiers, captures a group of armored vehicles gathering in a muddy field, then switches to show an assortment of military trucks loaded onto a train for long-distance transport, The reported. Sun.

A short scene labeled ‘military training’ shows a large piece of crane-like machine behind a metal fence.

The Biden government said this week that the US could send warships to the Black Sea in the coming weeks to counter Russia’s increased military presence on the Ukrainian border.

Russia’s annexation of Ukraine’s Crimean region in 2014 led to the imposition of US and European Union sanctions and sparked ongoing conflict there.

Ukrainian officials say the fighting there killed 14,000 people.
